LUXURY RAW HAIR

Shampoo & Conditioning

Co-washing your hair extensions regularly is highly recommended. Once the hair is cut from its donor, the hair will lose nutrients. Conditioning your raw hair will help to replenish hair strands and gives more life to your hair extensions.

Step 1

Gently brush all knots from the bottom up.

Step 2

Wash your hair in warm water.

Step 3

When shampooing your luxurious hair extensions we suggest using a light, anti-frizz, sulfate free shampoo every two weeks. Co-washing your extensions in between shampoo periods is highly recommended to ensure the longevity of your hair.

If using a clarifying shampoo we recommend very limited use, as clarifying shampoos tend to dry the hair out.

Recommendations

TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Line (shampoo and conditioner), or follow your shampoo with Dove Intense Repair Conditioner.

Step 4

Rinse the shampoo with warm water. Warm water helps to open the cuticle.

Step 5

Apply your conditioner. Use your fingers to run it through the hair starting from the top of the hair weft down to the hair ends. Scrunch the end of the hair with the conditioner. Use a wide tooth comb to comb the hair with the conditioner.

When washing raw curly/ wavy hair, scrunch the hair to maintain the curls. DO NOT allow curly/wavy hair to dry straight if you desire your original curl pattern.

Step 6

Gently towel-dry your hair and hang to allow the hair to air dry naturally.

In order to prevent hair damage, avoid rubbing your hair while washing and drying. Apply a generous amount of leave-in conditioner every week.

Styling

When wearing your hair in a natural state or if you’re using heating tools to style your hair we recommend using a silicon-based serum hair product and a heat protection spray. Each bundle of raw hair is donated by individual donors. Please note that donors hair will be slightly different and each bundle of hair may react differently from each other with natural elements such as heat, humidity, and water. The hair may also react differently from your own blended hair. We recommend consulting a hairstyling professional for bleaching and colouring your raw hair extensions for results and hair care.

Recommendations

Mizani ThermaSmooth Smooth Guard Serum or CHI Keratin Serum.

These products can be used on both wet and dry hair along with a leave-in conditioner.

Night Routine

Before going to bed gently brush your hair and place it in two jumbo braids, or wrap your hair. Use a silk scarf, satin bonnet or pillowcase at night. If wearing your hair curly, put your hair up in a pineapple style and use a silk scarf to wrap around your head.

Morning Routine

For curly hair, you may want to spray hair with water and a leave-in conditioner combination. Use a wide tooth comb, or paddle brush with a small amount of silicon-based serum and go.

LUXURY VIRGIN HAIR

Protecting the Weft

While minimal shedding is normal, there are steps that you can take, to ensure the longevity of your investment. If you cut the weft, the weft must be sealed by sealing the weft closed after it has been cut, to prevent shedding and tangling.

Coloring Hair

If you plan to perm or bleach the hair, we recommend consulting a professional to ensure you do not damage the hair.

Shampoo & Conditioning

We recommend that you condition and use a silicon mix on your extensions regularly for best hair results

· Always brush your hair with a paddle brush or use a detangling comb before washing hair. This helps to prevent and remove any existing tangles.

· Use a sulfate- free moisturizing conditioner so that your hair extensions don’t become dry and brittle.

· Wash your hair in a downward motion to prevent unnecessary tangling

Do NOT rub hair. Use a massage motion

Apply conditioner and comb through with a wide tooth comb starting with the ends and working your way up to your scalp

· Rinse thoroughly

· Scrunch hair gently to reform curl (wavy or curly hair)

· Let air-dry

Daily Maintenance

· Run your fingers through your luxury hair extensions daily to prevent the extensions from tangling and potentially matting together

· Brush or comb through to style

· Use styling aids such as gel & hairspray in moderation (alcohol-free products as alcohol products cause the hair to become dry and brittle)

·Before going to bed, braid, twist or wrap your hair to prevent hair from tangling

·NEVER go to bed with wet hair

·After waking up undo braids/wrap and comb through starting at the ends and working your way up to the roots. If wavy or curly hair, dampen hair with spray bottle BEFORE combing through hair

·Scrunch hair gently to reform curls for wavy or curly hair. if wearing hair wavy/curly you need to use a curl definer/anti-frizz product on hair

Let hair air dry or use a blow dryer (or with a diffuser for wavy or curly hair)
