What are the differences between Raw Hair, Virgin Hair, and Beauty Supply Store Hair?

RAW virgin hair is hair that has not been previously processed, manipulated, or treated with any harsh chemicals. The hair is in its RAW natural state. RAW virgin hair is the best hair on the market because each bundle is from a single donor which means less tangling. RAW virgin hair does not come in different grades like 100% virgin hair and is usually imported from foreign countries like India and Cambodia. When purchasing RAW virgin hair you must be mindful that each bundle may not be similar. This is because everyone’s hair is different including yours and mines. The hair may slightly vary in color and length, have gray strands.

100% virgin hair is hair that is unprocessed but has been manipulated to create a uniform pattern such as body wave, loose wave, and deep wave. Most 100% virgin hair is imported from China. The hair goes through a series of steps to create the very popular textures that we are all familiar with such as the deep wave, loose wave, body wave, and kinky curly.

Beauty supply store hair, of course, is the least expensive of the three and is easily accessible because it is housed in local beauty supply stores. It’s less expensive, the texture of hair blends well with ethnic hair, and it lasts for less temporary wearing hairstyles. Although some beauty supply store hair may be labeled as 100% human hair, there are some hair companies that still have some kind of synthetic fibers mixed in and this is the reason why beauty supply store hair doesn’t last as long as virgin hair.

With proper care and maintenance and treating your raw hair the way that you would treat your one, your raw hair bundles will last longer than virgin and beauty supply store hair.

What type of hair care products should I use?

Treat this hair like your own hair. We strongly recommend using Anti-Frizz Products. If you prefer to shampoo your hair extensions, we recommend using The TRESemme Keratin Line, or Dove Intense Repair Conditioner following your shampoo, Please try to use a Sulfate Free Shampoo. Avoid using heavy greasy pomades. Refer to our Hair Guide for recommendations.

Will raw hair blend with well with my natural hair?

Opulent Resilience Luxury Raw Hair textures blend very well with natural hair, which means that hair leave out styles should not be a problem. For clients who style their hair with leave out or clip-ins, please be advised that although your hair will blend well with our raw hair, the original hair donors hair may react differently from your own hair when your hair encounters natural elements such as heat, humidity, and water.

You may also encounter this with two or more similar bundles of raw hair as each bundle of hair is cut from a different donor.

When will my order ship and arrive?

Please allow 6 - 8 business days for order processing and an additional 3-4 business days for shipping. Please note this does not include weekends or holidays.

Orders placed on the weekend or holiday will begin processing the following business day.  When your order is ready to be shipped you will receive a shipping track number to the email address provided when ordering. Please be sure to check your junk mail folder if you have not received your track number with the first 8 days.

Can I cancel my order?

Unfortunately once an order has been placed, it cannot be canceled. We can try to accommodate any changes or errors in your order placement. Please email [email protected]. Please allow up to 48 hours to receive a response.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do. Orders may be subject to Customs Fees / Import Duties / Taxes / or Tariffs in which is the responsibility of the customer.  These fees are in addition to shipping costs.

Processing and shipping may take up to 14 business days depending on location and type of service requested.

Do you offer combined shipping discounts?

If a separate order is placed unfortunately multi-shipping discounts will not be offered. All transactions will accompany a tracking number with each purchase order. Please also be aware that each transaction has a credit card processing fee associated with them.
